Paul WynnSupervisors Associate Prof. Bruce Sutton, Dr C. Offord Degree PhD University University of Sydney Project title Water use efficiency of urban ornamentals Project details The focus of Paul’s research is to determine the scientific basis for water use efficiency in a range of ornamental plants. In light of the current drought conditions and mandatory water restrictions this study may provide some valuable information for the horticulture industry. Very few studies have been conducted to prove or disprove peoples claims that a plant may be an efficient user of water. Studies on native and exotic species will be conducted to establish and document species that deserve the title ‘water wise’. Keywords Water use efficiency, horticulture Contact details |
