Project title

A Taxonomic Revision of Dillwynia (Fabaceae: Faboideae: Mirbelieae)

Project details

Dillwynia is an endemic pea genus made up of roughly 42 species across temperate Australia. It is commonly found in coastal heaths and woodlands across the Great Dividing Range and is part of the group of native peas known as egg and bacon peas. This project aims to describe and record all the known species of the genus, using morphological, molecular and ecological data. From cladistic analyses, an inferred phylogeny of the genus will be constructed. This project has been funded by ABRS and will be published as part of the Flora of Australia legume volumes.
