This is a highly ornamental tree with a bushy habit, attractive foliage and spectacular flowers which attract nectar-feeding birds.
It can be a little difficult to establish in the garden as they need shelter when young and prefer a well-drained, loamy soil and a humid climate. Once established it has a long flowering period sometimes stretching from spring to early autumn under favourable conditions, producing striking reddish-pink blooms. |
