LocationThis particular species is widespread in moist forests and rainforests from Cape York Peninsula in Queensland to eastern Victoria. At present it is putting on a wonderful display along the boardwalk in our Stolen Generations Memorial.

| When it casts its cobweb lace across the bush, it’s a fair indication that spring has truly arrived. Later in the season the female plants will lose their cream petals and develop their characteristic fluffy fruit - commonly known as ‘Old Man’s Beard’.
