LocationIn the wild this species is confined to western Western Australia, in the Irwin District. It is a coastal or near-coastal species occurring in shrubland or heathland in sand. We’ve planted it around Lakeside where it gets plenty of sun – why not come and have a look?

In cultivation it is a small spreading shrub with arching branches and profuse purple flowers from autumn to spring. It prefers well-drained soils in part to full sun. It is frost hardy and a good choice for rockeries and coastal plantings. Tip prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape. |
