Grow your own

Here’s how you can grown your own plants from seed

  1. Collect a seed pod - tea tree, bottlebrush or casuarina are easy to collect and grow
  2. Place the pod in a brown paper bag until the seeds are released.
  3. Prepare the equipment - seed tray or punnet, seed, potting mix and water
  4. Fill the tray with potting mix and press lightly leaving a 1 cm space from the top
  5. Place seeds on top and cover with a light sprinkling of potting mix
  6. Sit the punnet in a tray of water and water a little each day.
