Noeline Sherwin moved from New Zealand to Melbourne in 1969. Her paintings have been included in all The Art of Botanical Illustration exhibitions in Melbourne from 2000 to 2012. In 2007 she shared an exhibition of botanical art, Stitches and Stamens, with Sue Martin, textile artist. She exhibited linocuts and watercolours of Australian flora at the Wildlife Art Society of Australasia exhibitions during the 1980s. In 2010 her painting Mandragora officinarum was purchased by the Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne for inclusion in the State Botanical Collection.
