Blackmores Sydney Running Festival
We are pleased to announce that Foundation & Friends is an official supporter charity of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival (21 September) giving participants the opportunity to fundraise for the Gardens as their nominated charity. The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is one of Sydney's iconic annual events attracting 36,000 entrants a year. One of its main objectives is to assist fundraising for Australian charities. We are proud to be associated with this event and to offer another way for our Members and the wider community to support the vital work of Your Gardens.
Foundation & Friends will be providing a team of volunteers to offer invaluable support on race day. If you are interested in joining our volunteer team please call 02 9231 8182 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Rainforest Seed Conservation Program - thank you!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Rainforest Seed Conservation Project appeal. Over $90,000 was raised by Foundation & Friends, assisting the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust to match the funds committed by the Arcadia Fund and thus ensuring the project’s success. Australian rainforests are among the most vulnerable ecosystems in the world and face significant threat from climate change, land use and plant diseases. The important work carried out by Trust scientists as part of the Rainforest Seed Conservation Project will protect these endangered plant species from extinction. We look forward to keeping you updated on the developments of this vital project

This year we have expanded participation to include three Teams that will walk a combined distance of 360+ kms over three days, in addition to a 1-Day Walk that will cover 5 kms, all finishing together on 19 April at the Australian PlantBank.
