Plant salesGrowing Friends' Plant SalesThe Royal Botanic Garden, SydneyGrowing Friends sales are open 11.30 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday, and the second and fourth Saturday of most months, 9 am to 1 pm. Future dates are as follows: 9 & 23 March, 11 & 25 May, 8 & 22 June, 13 & 27 July, 10 & 24 August. Additional plant sales dates are as follows: Sunday 10 March (In conjunction with Autumn Vibes Festival), Saturday 13 & 27 April (In conjunction with Botanica Exhibition), 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Growing Friends' nursery in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney can be accessed off Mrs Macquaries Road, or follow the signs from the Woolloomooloo Gate, or from the Succulent Garden. The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount AnnanGrowing Friends Mount Annan plant sales are open every Sunday, 11 am to 2 pm. Also open to groups on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment. Additional plant sale are on Sunday 14 April, (Autumn Plant Sale in conjunction with AnnanROMA), 10 am to 3 pm. The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount TomahGrowing Friends plants are sold from the Garden Shop Monday to Friday, 10.15 am – 4.45 pm. Additional plant sale are on Saturday 27 April (In conjunction with TomahROMA), 9 am to 4 pm. For more information, email foundation.friends@rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au or phone 9231 8182 (bh) Plants are propagated by the Growing Friends’ volunteers, from plants growing in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah. The Growing Friends’ plant sales feature a large selection of shrubs and perennials, many drought-tolerant. There’s a range of natives and exotics, often including rare and hard-to-find plants, mostly as tubestock. See Growing Friends’ plant list for commonly available plants. Brief notes on caring for the plant are included. Please note that not all plants listed will available for sale at all times.
