Lindsay Watts

Lindsay has a rural background and has always had a great love of gardens. She has painted botanical subjects in watercolour since childhood with a particular interest in finally detailed work.

Lindsay enjoys varied interest in art, writing, music and botany and has a Masters degree in Business Administration.

A graduate of the Margaret Saul School of Botanic Art in Brisbane, Lindsay has fine tuned her skills with Master classes with Jenny Phillips, Susannah Blaxill, Margaret Saul and Diane Emery. Her finely detailed botanical work is known for its softness and sensitivity to nature and is held in private collections in Australia and overseas.

Lindsay has exhibited successfully at Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, Brisbane for five years, the BASA Sydney exhibition in 2005 and 2006 and the ‘Wildflowers of Australia’ exhibition at Parliament House, Sydney in 2006. In 2006, Lindsay was the ‘Artist in Residence’ for Corrina Lodges in the Tarkine Wilderness Tasmania.
