Beverly Allen

A graphic designer and illustrator Beverly has been a botanical artist since 1998. She has shown annually at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney ‘Botanica’ Exhibition since 1999, and has exhibited with the American Society of Botanical Artists in New York and Washington. Her work is held in private collections internationally as well as at the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation USA, Royal Botanic Gardens Herbarium Library Kew, the Highgrove Florilegium UK, and The Shirley Sherwood Collection. She co-founded The Florilegium Society at the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney.

Beverly exhibited eight Epiphyllum paintings at The Royal Horticultural Society’s annual botanical art exhibition in 2007. This important body of work took over two years to complete and was awarded a Gold Medal. One of the paintings, Epiphyllum hookeri was purchased by The Society for their Lindley Library and two of the others by the Library at Kew Gardens. Beverly is regarded as being one of the foremost botanical artists in the world today.
