Growing Friends' plant salesWeekly Plant SalesGrowing Friends sales are open 11.30 am to 2 pm, most Mondays to Fridays, in the Royal Botanic Gardens, off Mrs Macquaries Road. Follow the signs from the Woolloomooloo Gate, or from the Succulent Garden. Special Plant SalesGrowing Friends will be open on the second Saturday of most months, 9 am to 1 pm. Future dates are as follows: 9 Aug, 13 Sep, 11 Oct, 8 Nov & 13 Dec. There will also be a special open day on Sat 25 Oct, 9 am to 4 pm (in conjunction with Artisans in the Gardens). Growing Friends will also be participating in the Mount Annan Spring Plant Sales on 18 Oct, 10 am to 3 pm. For more information, email friends@rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au or phone 9231 8182 (bh) Plants are propagated by the ‘Growing Friends’ volunteers, from plants growing in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardan and Mount Annan Botanic Garden. The Growing Friends’ plant sales feature a large selection of shrubs and perennials, many drought-tolerant. There’s a range of natives and exotics, often including rare and hard-to-find plants, mostly as tubestock. See Growing Friends’ plant notes for a list of the plants commonly available. Brief notes on caring for the plant are included. Please note that not all plants listed will available for sale at all times.
