Annual or short lived perennial herb to 30 cm high. Longevity 1 – 2 years.

Flowers: White, less than 2 mm long, September.

Fruit: Capsule (silicula) 1.5 mm long, separating at maturity into 2 one-seeded nutlets, mature at any time of the year.

Seed: 1.2 mm diameter. Dispersed locally.

Ecology

• Native of South America and Europe.
• Weed of lawns, gardens, roadsides and wastelands
• Uncommon and minor weed at the Australian Botanic Garden.
• Probably killed by fire.
