Erect or decumbent short lived herb, with stems to 20cm although usually much smaller. Longevity 2 - 5 years.

Flowers: Tiny pale yellow to red, August – December.

Fruit: Dehiscent capsule or follicle with 2 seeds.

Seed: Tiny, 0.3 x 0.2 mm. Local dispersal.

  • Open woodland habitat.
  • Occasional and localized in woodland at the Australian Botanic Garden.
  • Seedlings recruited after rainfall following extended dry period.
  • Probably killed by fire.
