Erect aromatic perennial herb to 2.5 m high with stout branching taproot. Longevity to 2 years.

Flowers: Yellow, December - May.

Fruit: Schizocarp 4 – 10.5 mm long, February - May.

Seed: 2, 1-seeded mericarps dispersed by vehicles, animals and water.
