Perennial herb, with rhizomes, stems creeping and rooting at the nodes. Spreads by rhizomes, longevity indefinite.

Flowers: White creamy yellow, October June.

Fruit: Schizocarp 1.5 2 mm long, 2.5 3 mm wide, February June.

Seed: 2, 1-seeded mericarps
