Short-lived perennial herb to 50 cm high, with divided leaves. Longevity less than 2 years.

Flowers: White, March – December.

Fruit: Capsule 2 – 4 mm long, opening when ripe at any time of the year.

Seed: 1.5 mm long, with no specialised dispersal mechanism.

Ecology

• Native of South America.
• Weed of roadside in mid shade.
• Occasional, minor weed at the Australian Botanic Garden.

• Seedling recruitment during June - July 2006.
