Ecology

  • Open sites, roadsides grasslands.
  • Uncommon in woodland at the Australian Botanic Garden, occuring sporadically on woodland margins.
  • Seed crop likely to be consumed by birds.
  • Appears to be a coloniser of disturbed sites.
  • C4 warm season metabolism.
