Terrestrial fern with short-creeping rhizome. Spreads up to 5-10 cm /year. Longevity indefinite.

Spores: Produced in sori on lower surface of frond, October -March. Spore size 30-40 µm. Spores dispersed by wind. Probably no dormancy mechanism.
