Prostrate to erect herb 15 cm high, numerous erect to decumbent slender branches. Taproot 3 mm diameter, 6 cm long, with side roots.

Flowers: November–April.

Fruit: Glabrous, dehiscent capsule, 1.5 – 3 mm diameter., November–April.

Seed: 1.5 mm long.

Ecology

  • Woodland habitat with grassy understorey, full sun to partial shade.
  • Uncommon, localised in woodland at the Australian Botanic Garden.
  • Probably resprouts after fire.
