Common Garden Snail is naturalised in the Cumberland Plain Woodland at Mount Annan Botanic Garden.  It feeds on seedling plants both native and exotic but the extent of its impact on native species is unknown.  It is both ground dwelling and arboreal, but is rarely seen except during periods of wet weather. Empty shells may be frequently seen.The shell is larger and more robust than that of the native Meridolum.
