Other diseases which cause great economic losses in other parts of the world are included in the exotic diseases section, as they have the potential to do so in Vietnam if introduced. Many of these exotic diseases may already be present in Vietnam, as there has been little research in this area, so this information and the associated pictures will provide farmers with information on their symptoms, biology and control in the event that they are recognised in this country.
