Individual giving
Why we need your help
The Botanic Gardens Trust plays an important role in conserving plants and their habitats. We invite you to share our aspirations and help protect the natural world. Our vital work would not be possible without your support.
We would be so grateful if you chose to help.
How you can help
Trees are the backbone of our ecological systems. Fostering a tree for a year is a wonderful way to help to protect the environment whilst making a unique gift. Choose your favourite tree in our botanic gardens and receive a certificate of foster care. A tree may be fostered for a donation of $200.
If you are interested in Fostering a Tree please call Paula Found on (02) 9231 8022 or Dimi Rayner on (02) 9231 8303.
Dedicating one of our elegant benches is a wonderful way to experience a unique connection with the Gardens. The beautiful inscriptions bring life to memories, celebrations and tributes and add a lovely sentiment to the fabric of our Gardens. Benches are dedicated for a period of 10 years. The donation for a bench dedication is $10,000 in the Royal Botanic Gardens and $4,000 in Mount Annan and Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens.
If you are interested in Dedicating a Bench please call Paula Found on (02) 9231 8022 or Dimi Rayner on (02) 9231 8303.
Whether you choose to plant a young tree, selected for its botanical significance or to become the guardian of one of our existing grand old trees, your gift will form a lasting feature of the landscape to be enjoyed now and by future generations.
A tree can be adopted for its full life with a donation of $10,000. Your generosity will be acknowledged in many ways, including a dedication plaque, certificate of adoption and photograph.
If you are interested in Adopting a Tree please call Paula Found on (02) 9231 8022 or Dimi Rayner on (02) 9231 8303.
The Wollemi Walk of Discovery in Mount Annan Botanic Garden displays the only collection of genetic replicas from the protected grove in the Wollemi National Park. By adopting one of these pines you will ensure the protection of this important collection. A Wollemi Pine can be adopted for a donation of $2,000.
If you would like to take up this rare opportunity to ensure the ongoing survival of this rare tree, please contact Rebecca Moutia on (02) 4634 7903 or email rebecca.moutia@rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au.
Restore the Treasures of the Royal Botanic Gardens Library
Established in 1852, the Royal Botanic Gardens Library is one of the premier botanical and horticultural libraries in Australia. Our library houses 70,000 volumes of books and journals, as well as archives, maps, photographs, artworks and images.
Help us restore these important works by adopting a library treasure. Your donation will help fund vital conservation and preservation work, as well as the digitisation of rare works, and the cataloguing of the entire collection. Click here for further information on the Library Treasures.
If you are interested in adopting a Library Treasure please contact Pauline Markwell on (02) 9231 8308.
