Foundation & Friends Volunteers
Share the volunteer experience
Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens offers members a rich experience within Your Gardens. Volunteering with us is very rewarding and a lot of fun. You will meet new people, learn new skills and help support the three botanic gardens.
Our volunteers enable us to raise funds for special projects in the Gardens, The Herbarium of NSW and The Domain. They cater for functions, assist us our administration staff in the office, coordinate exhibitions and smaller events, actively promote membership through walks and talks, as well as assist in the gardens. We even have a group of volunteers that propagate and sell plants called The Growing Friends, through the Garden nurseries and at plant fairs.
We need you
Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens can only continue to promote, support and protect Your Gardens with the help of our wonderful volunteers.
We have a a wide range of volunteer positions that exist at The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney; The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan; and The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah.
