Who we are & what we doThe Friends' mission is to promote enjoyment and understanding of the three Gardens and Domain as outstanding places for horticulture, science, recreation, the arts and education, and to support the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust. The Friends of the Botanic Gardens is an independent group, able to lobby to protect the three Gardens from developments that could threaten them. The Friends is a vital part of the Gardens’ life and helps to make a wide range of projects possible. Our Gardens include the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney, the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan, our native garden in south-west Sydney, and the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, Mount Tomah in the Blue Mountains. Maybe you value the three Gardens as rich sources of knowledge about the world’s plants. Perhaps you just enjoy the green open spaces, and want to preserve them. By joining the Friends you become part of the valued support group that helps protect some of the world’s great botanic gardens. What we’ve achievedProjects supported by the Friends include
