Janet HoJanet was born in Launceston and absorbed a love of plants from her mother. Living overseas for most of her adult life where plant forms were mostly from tropical South-East Asia, Janet retired from a career as a librarian and returned to Australia in 2001. She rediscovered a long-dormant joy in the intricate beauty of Australian native flora and this has found its expression in attempting their portrayal in botanical art and also in landcare and bush regeneration concerns. Janet participated in an exhibition in North Sydney in 2006. She had no formal training in art until beginning classes with teacher/practitioner Helena Karnolz several years ago.
