Hugh Springford

Hugh has had a lifelong interest in wood, as a child and throughout his working career, from 1960s in the IT industry, more latterly as a university lecturer and now as Treasurer of the Friends of The Gardens. Involvement in the Kauri Project is the highlight of his woodworking experience as, despite making numerous pieces for family and friends, his work has not previously been on public exhibition. He hopes you share his enjoyment of the simple modern aesthetic.
