Welcome
The Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation is here to raise much needed funds to keep us at the cutting edge of scientific discovery, to create new garden landscapes of botanic awe and pleasure, and to provide rich and diverse cultural, educational and recreational experience to Australians and to our visitors.
The Botanic Gardens of Sydney are among Sydney’s best loved attractions - just think of the superb mix of Victorian design and modern feature gardens of the Royal Botanic Gardens on Sydney Harbour, the fiery autumn maple colours and spring rhododendrons at Mount Tomah Botanic Garden overlooking the Wollemi National Park, and the glorious gold wattle of the Wattle Garden at Mount Annan Botanic Garden in winter.
Each Garden is a living, thriving mix of horticulture, wildlife, cultural and natural heritage; venues for festivals, weddings and recreation; and a hotbed of conservation and horticultural research and botanic sciences. Each has a dedicated team of experts working 365 days of the year.
In 2016, the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney will celebrate its Botanic Bicentenary - a milestone for one of the most popular tourist attractions in Sydney.
