The greatest single issue facing humanity is the challenge to conserve and improve the management of our natural environment. Understanding and preserving the diversity of plant life is vital to the survival of all animal life - including humankind. The Botanic Gardens Trust depends on support from generous individuals and corporations to help maintain the highest standards of excellence in horticultural practice, scientific research, community education and custodianship of some of the most historically and culturally important sites in New South Wales.

The Trust receives approximately 65% of its funding from the NSW Government. We need your help to raise enough funds to remain at the forefront of:

  • management of open public space of high cultural, heritage and aesthetic significance.
  • plant biodiversity and conservation programs
  • horticultural research
  • education, information and outreach programs for the wider community in botany and horticulture
  • horticultural practice, display and training.
