Elaine was trained as a commercial artist working in the greeting card industry before becoming interested in Botanical Art which quickly became her passion. She has exhibited annually in Botanica at the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney since 1998 and her work is included in the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust Sydney, the Alisa and Isaac M Sutton Collection and Hawkesbury Regional Gallery as well as in private collections.
Elaine has exhibited in London and New York and was awarded a Gold Medal at the Royal Horticultural Society, London in 2003.
Elaine spent many years in the Lower Blue Mountains of NSW where she lived and worked as artist, curator and botanical art teacher at Fernbrook Garden & Botanical Art Gallery.
New surroundings now inspire her work following a recent relocation to the Southern Highlands of NSW.
