The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust Regulation 2008, made under the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust Act 1980, is due for staged repeal on 1 September 2013. In remaking the Regulation, the Trust is proposing a number of changes (see Regulation 2013) to ensure the ongoing safety and enjoyment of all visitors to Trust lands, as well as the continual protection of these valuable assets. | Sustainability |
How can I make my picnic sustainable?
Please help us keep the Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan and the animals that call it home healthy, safe and clean by taking your rubbish home with you. By doing so, you will help control visual pollution and stop precious wildlife becoming reliant on waste products. Wind or curious animals can soon create unsightly trails of any rubbish left behind.
Why not reduce, reuse and recycle at your picnic? You could:
- Pack your picnic food items in reusable containers
- Bring reusable plates and cutlery
- Avoid bringing heavily packaged food items
- Recycle your rubbish when you get home
- Encourage your picnic guests to reduce, reuse and recycle too!
