The Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation is here to raise much needed funds for the Royal Botanic Gardens & Domain Trust to work towards a vision of a world where people take enjoyment and nourishment from the beauty and life enhancing properties of plants and actively contribute to caring for our planet.
These three Botanic Gardens and the Domain are among Sydney’s best loved attractions. Each Garden is a living, thriving mix of horticulture, wildlife, cultural and natural heritage; venues for festivals, weddings and recreation; and a hotbed of conservation and horticultural research and botanic sciences. Each has a dedicated team of experts working 365 days of the year.
The Gardens are at the cutting edge of scientific discovery - botany, conservation, ecology, pathology and seedbanking. They provide information about plants - in-situ and via the web to the world; and they provide rich and diverse cultural, educational and recreational experiences for Australians and for our visitors.
As Australia’s first botanic garden, first scientific institution and first site used for agriculture, the Royal Botanic Garden has deep national significance.
In 2016, the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney will celebrate its Bicentenary - a milestone for all Australians to celebrate.
