Frangipani Fever

at the Royal Botanic Garden

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 January Frangipani Fever will once again fill the Tropical Centre in the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney with the colours and scent of high summer.

Garden Senior Horticulturist Graham Rowe said, 'A native of Central America, the Frangipani is one of Sydney’s most loved garden plants with flowers that come in a range of stunning tones from creams, yellows and pinks to deep red - all on show this weekend with the Frangipani Society of Australia.'

There will be demonstrations of grafting, lei making, seed sowing and cross pollination on both days. Specialist talks at 11 am and 2 pm will provide further insights into the care and propagation of this summer beauty.

A range of imported and collector plants, seeds and cuttings will be for sale. Frangipani art and craft products will also be available.

'Members of the Frangipani Society will be on hand to answer all your frangipani questions,' Mr Rowe said.

Hosted by the Frangipani Society of Australia and the Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. Lots of Frangipanis on show and sale, talks, demonstrations, Q&A and art and craft sales.
