National Tree Day

Family Day - Displays and Walks

Celebrate Trees today and every day! Discover the magnificent old giants of Mount Tomah. Be guided through the ancient hollows of Eucalyptus fastigata (Brown Barrels) and meet dinosaur trees - the tallest living species in the world!

The Waratah Education Centre will open its doors to showcase our wonderful world of trees. Images, barks, fruits, seeds, amazing facts about trees and their life giving properties.

Since 1996 National Tree Day has recorded over 2.8 million volunteers planting over 17 million native trees and shrubs. National Tree Day includes a whole range of different activities around Australia including planting trees and native plants & bushes, caring for trees and plants by removing weeds, information sessions, bushwalks and more.

Most of all it is lots of fun!
