Helen Moon

A love of the natural environment, particularly the native plants of my local area, led me to a desire to be able to draw more accurately what I saw. I have participated in classes and workshops with several botanical artists and scientific illustrators and work in graphite, ink and watercolour with an occasional foray into paper sculpture.
Working as a volunteer in the Wollongong Botanic Garden has provided my inspiration and opportunities for further exploration of botanical art. With a small group of friends I am working on a Florilegium for the Garden.
