Sylvia Beresford

Several years ago the business world was left behind to satisfy a desire to become an accomplished artist. A love of flora directed attention towards Botanical Art. Self-taught, this exacting art form proved to be both challenging and immensely rewarding. Dedication and hard work have been acknowledged with the receipt of many awards and prizes.

Sylvia was initially inspired when viewing a Camellia exhibition by internationally known Paul Jones (1921-1997) and further challenged by the meticulous standards set by Susannah Blaxill, a great contemporary Australian botanical artist. The focus now is directed towards the development of a unique personal style.
