Endowment Fund

Contributing to the Endowment Fund

The Royal Botanic Gardens Foundation, Sydney seeks contributions to build an Endowment Fund of $10 million as a basis of ensuring on-going support to the Botanic Gardens Trust. The capital will be held by the Foundation and interest will be distributed. This fund will ensure a productive legacy particularly at this special time leading to the Bicentenary of the Royal Botanic Gardens in 2016.

A suite of exciting, sometimes audacious, new projects has been identified that will benefit the community of NSW and world visitors as part of this celebration. There will be new buildings and facilities, research programs, scientific collecting trips, artistic endeavours and recreational gardens.

This is a time to cherish the history, stories and features of the past and also to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions the Botanic Gardens Trust is making to our country’s future - to scientific knowledge and its application in managing the environment; to understanding and protecting our precious plants and biodiversity; to teaching the community about sustainable gardening; to providing beautiful and healthy sanctuaries for rest and relaxation.
