Wizards Express weekends in the Blue Mountains
Get set for a spell-binding weekend of magic and adventure!
This winter, the Zig Zag Railway and Mount Tomah Botanic Garden are joining forces to create a series of enchanting weekends filled with magic, fun and adventure for the whole family. Wizards, witches, fairies and goblins of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their favourite costume and join the excitement!
Join in the fun with Wizard Mistress Wollemia Bubblebark at the Wizard’s School of Magic at Mount Tomah Botanic Garden. Aspiring wizards can make their own wizard’s hat from the magical leaves and nuts collected from the garden or create a personalised wand, ready for use when you venture out on the Wizard’s quest through the garden. At the conclusion of the quest all participating wizards will be invited to the wizard’s jumping castle to bounce their demons away. The adventurous wizards will have built up quite an appetite by this point, however, it takes more then your usual apple to satisfy a wizard; fortunately we know a magic spell to turn apples into a sweet treat!
All aboard the Wizards Express! At the Zig Zag Railway Hagrid will greet passengers as they gather on Platform 9¾ at Clarence Station, ready to experience three hours of magical fun and laughter. Before boarding the train, prospective travellers will be put under the Sorting Hat for house selection. In a puff of steam, the Wizards Express steam train will depart on its journey, travelling through tunnels and over spectacular viaducts as it wends its way down to Bottom Points Station. Hot dogs and drinks will be served in the dungeon, and professional magicians will be on hand to entice one and all to try their hand at wizardry.
Due to the enormous popularity of these events, bookings are essential.
