Explore the world of plants and the history of Sydney’s magnificent Royal Botanic Gardens with one of our knowledgeable volunteer guides.

Free daily and lunchtime walks

When: Free guided walks daily at 10.30 am (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday) - allow 1.5 hours & free lunchtime walks Monday-Friday at 1 pm (March-November only, except Good Friday) - allow 1 hour
Where: Walks depart from the Information Booth outside the Gardens Shop at the Palm Grove Centre

Booked group walks (Probus/Garden Clubs)

Where: Tours depart from Information Booth outside the Gardens Shop at the Palm Grove Centre
Cost: Minimum fee: $120 for group of up to 15 people

Booked specialist tours (1-1.5 hours)

Where: Tours depart from Information Booth outside the Gardens Shop at the Palm Grove Centre
Cost: $28 per person ($20 nett rate - tour operators), $15 student/child (no nett) - minimum tour cost $190 = 7 people

Aboriginal heritage tours

Join Aboriginal Education Officer, Clarence Slockee, for a journey of discovery. Uncover the Royal Botanic Gardens rich Aboriginal heritage, experience traditional music, dance and artefacts, and taste some bush foods.

When: Fridays at 2 pm, departing from the Information Booth outside the Gardens Shop at the Palm Grove Centre, Royal Botanic Gardens - tours last approximately 1.5 hours
Cost: $28 per person (discount available for Friends or groups of 7 or more), $15 per student/child

Scenic tour of the Royal Botanic Gardens by trackless train

Operates between the Botanic Gardens Cafe and the Queen Elizabeth II Gate near the Sydney Opera House. Daily (weather permitting) every 20 minutes. Adults $10, children $5.
