Special Event Outdoor Venues
The parkland surrounding the Royal Botanic Gardens is known as the Domain, comprised of a number of precincts - including the Tarpeian Precinct, Yurong Precinct and Phillip Precinct. These outdoor venues are ideal for concerts, sports and cultural events. Public transport and a variety of parking stations are conveniently located nearby. A true heritage area of great cultural significance, the Domain is a living link with the beginnings of European settlement in Australia. It is known as 'the People’s Domain; the park where the gates never close' and extends around the Royal Botanic Gardens from Mrs Macquaries Point to Tarpeian Way, just south of the Opera House'.
Please contact the Events Office Venue Coordinator to confirm availability and suitability of your event prior to submitting a written proposal. Event proposal guidelines and site maps can be downloaded from the respective outdoor venue pages. Hire fees are determined on submission of a detailed event proposal.
