This course will inform Primary and Secondary teachers on how to become a better Aboriginal Educator within their own school environment. Teachers will learn about how the Botanic Gardens & Centennial Parklands can support schools with implementing Aboriginal culture and perspectives across the curriculum, from classroom level to whole school activities. Create engaging, curriculum linked resources, learn about how to start your own bush tucker gardens and engage with Aboriginal educators to help prepare and inspire you for delivering Aboriginal Education within your school.
Completing the course Deliver Aboriginal Education Better will contribute 5 hours of NESA Registered PD
addressing 1.4.2, 2.4.2, 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
