Research Interests:

My research interest general relate to environmental conservation.

After completing a bachelor degree in Agriculture Science and majoring in Phytopathology, I started investigating phytoalexin production in plants in response to pathogen infection.

I started a PhD in 2010 looking at the impacts of Phytophthora Dieback in the Greater Blue Mountains WHA. My field-based research was used to inform spatial models of the interactions between plant host, the environmental and the pathogen, Phytophthora cinnamomi. The project also investigated the potential for hyperspectral remote sensing to identify dieback.

After completing the PhD in 2013, I started working in orchid research looking at mycorrhizal interactions, ecology, genetics and germplasm conservation.
