Temporary closure: The Fernery (1 & 2 June 2020)

The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney's Fernery was built in 1993 and houses more than 350 species of ferns and other tropical perennials, including orchids and begonias.

From time to time, some displays are closed to the public to allow the horticultural team to do essential maintenance,  infrastructure upgrades or safety checks.

The Fernery will be clsoed on 1 and 2 June 2020 for essential maintenance. During this time, we encourage visitors to explore the world-class horticultural displays throughout the Garden which can be viewed on our app or our website here.
