Sydney based Solar Energy Enterprises (SEE) is doubling down on its sustainability credentials, partnering with the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust.
SEE is installing an in-kind 50kW solar PV system, which will save the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan an average of 60,000kWh in avoided energy use annually, and more than $100,000 over the next ten years.
The solar upgrade was installed on the roof of the Australian PlantBank, a facility at the Garden that has won awards for its sustainable design and ground-breaking plant science and conservation work. The energy generated through the solar partnership will support the Garden’s team of scientists in their efforts to preserve, protect and restore threatened species and ecosystems across Australia.
