Solar partnership to generate lightyears of value

Sydney based Solar Energy Enterprises (SEE) is doubling down on its sustainability credentials by partnering with the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust and installing an in-kind 50kW solar PV system; which will save the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan an average of 60,000kWh in avoided energy use each year, and more than $100,000 over the next 10 years.

The new solar system upgrade was installed on the roof of the Australian PlantBank, a facility at the Garden that has won awards for its sustainable design and ground-breaking plant science and conservation work. The energy generated through the solar partnership will support the Garden’s team of scientists in their efforts to preserve, protect and restore threatened species and ecosystems across Australia.

The partnership with the Garden demonstrates Solar Energy’s commitment to our creed, “Saving the planet, one roof at a time”. By offering what we know best, we are proud to be able to support the important work of the Garden to protect our plant biodiversity and beautiful green spaces into the future.

The work done by SEE provides a significant contribution to meeting the ever increasing need to reduce energy demand, move to net zero emissions by 2050 and in addition supports the Trust’s own Resource Sustainability Strategy.
