Join the Botanic Gardens’ Horticulture team for the day and immerse yourself in the lush surrounds of our living collections. While tending to Sydney’s world-famous green spaces, you and your team will be making a much-needed contribution to conservation research – protecting our plants and our future.
Volunteering at the Botanic Gardens gives you a fascinating insider’s perspective. From discovering a vast array of plant species, through to gardening basics such as mulching, weeding, composting and planting.
Choose from three Botanic Gardens sites to contribute your volunteer hours:
Your Valued Contribution
- The Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, the second oldest botanic garden in the world and an oasis in our city’s bustling metropolitan.
- The Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, renowned for its conservation areas and native gardens and the home of world leading plant science facilities.
- The Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah, known for cool climate botanicals and nestled within a stunning World Heritage Area.
The Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust is a not for profit organisation that relies on the support of its generous donors and corporate partners. The funds raised through our corporate volunteering program are invested back into the site you visit and contribute to the overall management of the Gardens. Your organisation’s contribution is greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged and receipted as a tax-deductible donation.
