Klorane Botanical Foundation – inspiring a passion for botany

Established in 1994, the Klorane Botanical Foundation has three key missions: to protect endangered plant species; explore botany in order to better understand the natural world and to share botanical passion with as many people as possible, particularly children.

Partnering with the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney since launching in Australia in 2018, the Foundation supports the delivery of free ‘Herbarium on Stage’ workshops throughout the year. A fun blend of education and exploration, the workshops teach children how to create a herbarium (a collection of dried plants), while they discover the diversity of live plants in the Gardens.

The Foundation also supports the Trust’s Rainforest Seed Conservation and a photographic exhibition at The Calyx featuring exceptional citizen-led sustainable development projects from around the world.
