Wrapped in love

Since the early days of their romance, Jin had been a master of crafting extraordinary celebrations for special occasions. However, when he suggested they take a stroll through the Royal Botanic Garden for their 5th wedding anniversary, his wife Michiko was a little surprised.

Despite the spectacular views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, Jin seemed more interested in one of the wooden benches lining the path along the water. Wrapped in a large bow, Jin was keen to investigate. Rolling her eyes, Michiko caught a glimpse of some familiar names engraved on the bench’s plaque. Now she was more than a little surprised.

We treasure the view from this bench, looking out across the harbour we are so thankful for the love, the family and the opportunities this new city has given us. We want everyone to benefit from this wonderful Garden.

Yet again, Jin had found the perfect gift to celebrate their love.

Fifteen years since first coming to Sydney, Jin and Michiko’s story has expanded to include two daughters; as their family has grown, so has the text on their bench’s plaque. This city has been a huge part of their incredible journey together; with their bench centre stage on the iconic harbour, they are now part of the city too.

Celebrate your love by dedicating a bench today.
