Stage 1: Awaken Enthusiasm. Exploring a variety of different plants as food will develop an understanding of how plants are the basis of all food chains, and everything we eat.
Stage 2: Focus Attention. Exploring a variety of seeds and plant materials will develop an understanding of how they disperse and their needs for growth.
Stage 3: Direct Experience. Taking part in a gardening session, preparing garden beds, planting, mulching, watering, harvesting and investigating worm farms will develop an understanding of the needs of plants.
Stage 4: Share Inspiration. Photographing the prepared garden beds and exchanging special moments and interesting learnt experiences with others will develop an appreciation of the needs of plants and how we use them.
