Ringtail Possum Drey

Make a drey to house a ringtail possum.

Ringtail possums are aboreal so a drey (nest) needs to be placed securely in amongst interconnecting trees. ne

For this project you will need two hanging baskets, malleable wire, wire cutters, scissors and two coconut fibre basket liners.

Step 1
Gather your materials.
Step 2
Create an opening by bending the wire of the basket.
Step 3
Secure it open with wire.
Step 4
Cut a tennis ball size hole into the coconut fibre.
Step 5
Add some nesting material.
Step 6
Secure the top lining in place with wire.
Step 7
Wire the two baskets together.
Step 8
Cover the outside with more coconut fibre and hang it in an appropriate place.
